To pre-alert, log in, go to Prealertar (Pre-alert) and enter the exact description of the item, the tracking number, the value in dollars, the address you used and the real invoice for your purchase. Which invoice works?
The one for your purchase, real and complete. Do not upload screenshots or other documents. This document is submitted to the DIAN: a false or incomplete invoice can lead to penalties or reassessments.
What does the insurance cover?
Total loss, total theft and total damage that leaves the product unusable. It does not cover missing items, partial theft or partial damage. A package that came in without a valid pre-alert does not gain coverage afterward.
Frequently asked questions
Which number goes in the pre-alert?
The package tracking number, not the store's order number or a carrier link.
What if my purchase arrived in several boxes?
If the store generated several tracking numbers, create one pre-alert for each, even if they belong to the same order.
When is insurance mandatory?
For values over USD 300. For lower values it may be optional. It must be recorded in the pre-alert before the package reaches Miami.
